Our bottom line is that it works monetarily to be committed to something other than a bottom line. It is among my greatest desires to exemplify the success a small business can have by helping to fund public education, which is sadly underfunded in this country.

Hello! I started Beethoven's Gutter Works and Roofing as a way to support music in public schools, and still have an occupation working with my hands, which I have always enjoyed. To date, we have written hundreds of small checks that our clients send in to the Berkeley Public School Fund, who in turn writes grants directly to teachers.

We ALWAYS use the top of the line materials, (such a Benjamin Moore paint, Smart primer, Smiths Penetrating Epoxy Sealer and filler for dry rot, etc) We practice doing things right, the first time.

Supporting Public Music Funding in Schools From the Beginning —

Beethovens is a small company providing high quality roofing installations and exterior residential restorations, including dry rot work and painting.

We have garnered an overwhelming support for our practice of supporting music in public schools with checks that we write that sent in by our customers to the Berkeley Public School Fund or other similar funds for customers not in Berkeley. This provides an all important transparency. All our checks support music exclusively, not other programs, via a direct grant program to teachers. Very little is used up in administration. Violin strings, field trips, piano tuning all get funded this way.
