Recently we have been hearing from folks that well meaning insurance agents are informing them that metal roofs will make their premiums go up. That is not true at all. Areas with storm damaged roofs drive up the premiums. You would think that the more class 4 roofs are in an area the less roof replacements are needed which lessens the need for increased premiums.
